Kenya Visa and Immigration Information

Important information about entry into Kenya

Most visitors to Kenya require the Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) for entry into Kenya. This is the equivalent of the Kenya Visa. Please apply through the website https://etakenya.go.ke.
For nationalities exempt from this requirement, please check out https://etakenya.go.ke/form/apply/start. The exempt nationalities are listed.
The cost of the Electronic Travel Authorisation is US$ 34.00 per person. This is payable via credit card or debit card.
You should apply for your Electronic Travel Authorisation at least 72 hours before travel but the earlier, the better. We recommend that you apply for your eTA at least a month before travel.
Pro tip from Sandrage Safaris—Always carry a printed copy of your approved eTA or have it saved as a PDF on your mobile phone. Airlines will check for this document during check-in before you are allowed to board your flight to Kenya.

To apply, you will need to upload the following documents to the portal:

  • • Passport: Valid for at least six (6) months after your arrival date, with at least one blank page.
  • • Photo: A recent passport-style photo or a clear “selfie.”
  • • Contact Info: Your home address, phone number, and email.
  • • Itinerary Details: Flight arrival/departure information.
  • • Accommodation Proof: Hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter if staying with friends/family. Sandrage Safaris will provide you with the confirmation letter.
  • • Payment: A valid credit or debit card for the processing fee.
